is sand. The desert spans 13 different
countries in Northern Africa.
Arabian Desert
This desert is located on the Arabian Peninsula
and it is 1 million square miles in size, and
25% of it consists of sand. This sandy portion
is the world's largest expanse of unbroken sand.
Kalahari Desert
This desert is 220,000 square miles in
size and portions of it are located in Botswana,
South Africa, and Namibia.
